On the West Coast, where the Uruguay River that gives the country its name runs, is the region known as the Corredor de los Pájaros Pintados.

It is one of the best kept treasures in our territory. An invitation to discover and enjoy our country and be inspired by the beautiful landscapes and its people. A great combination of unique cuisine, hot springs and excellent wines are the perfect definition of the region.

It is located on the northwestern front of Uruguay along the natural border with Argentina. We will find a mixture of soils with a lot of organic matter and calcium carbonate.

The climate is warmer and wetter. Most of the wines here are intended for the wine table, and the region is best known for Tannat, and that was where the first grapes of this variety were planted in Uruguay.
